Good news: Your rivals are at war. Bad news: both
can regenerate creatures. There's powerful help
to the North, but you'll have to enter the battle
to acquire it...watch out for nosy heroes.

In this map you are forced to turtle, as you cannot dig out until you have researched 'destroy walls'. You get a fun pre-dug dungeon that is interesting to expand and some gems, but it's still quite a long wait until you may progress.
The story is that there are 2 keepers with infinite units fighting in the center, and you would need to get past them to to get powerful stuff 'up north'. However, the map maker seems to have forgotten that you have a prison. There's two medium sized hero parties defending the gems, and then quite some more heroes attack you as soon as you dig a bit north. These are not enough to worry you, but when converted more than enough to roll over the two keepers uncontested.
Once I converted those powerful units (which included samurai and reapers) I just cast call to arms on first the one and then immediately the other keeper and won the map. I never got to explore the north this way, I checked and there was more stuff to make you even more powerful.
