You must gather your researchers to develop a magic spell against the heroes, deal with your unwilling Imps, and be mindful of the things you might attract.
Lua was used to implement new mechanics for the Scavenger Room, dynamic decoration placement, and various other features.
Tried medium and the first time I died due to the time being up. The second try I got the spell in time and made sure to have a counter ready for when I didnt get it done in time.
The only criticism I have is that the part after getting the spell felt a bit lame. Kill the heart and your done. Nothing special, no big fight what so ever.
Decoration.lua and Scavenger_Invasion.lua are very cool systems, and well written! Awesome stuff.
I beat the map on Easy first try. The final spell is also really nice though I didn't expect it to cost 30000!
The Scavenger Room mechanic... I didn't end up triggering. It takes so long for a conversion to happen...
It was a little annoying to not have control over Imps, but once I realized I can Create + Possess an Imp near where I want something done, I can easily do it myself, haha.
The patrol system for enemies is clever too! Though I didn't go to the cave area much and mostly fought Heroes.
There's a map1821.lua as well as a map01821.lua in the download, I assume the former is not needed?
Not sure what's up with the bottom left corner, didn't figure that out.
Haven't gotten around to actually playing the level yet, but you left a Reveal Map special available next to the heart. I don't imagine that's intentional?
Alright, now that I've actually played it, I sadly didn't quite manage to finish it on medium on my first try, since I didn't have the gold to cast the spell even after researching it.
I found disabling the player from interacting with the treasury/imps pretty frustrating, since the imps end up dying very frequently. That ends up making it pretty costly to try to mine the gold, especially with the constant enemy swarms on the lower right of the map. I ended up basically having no gold and very few imps for a while, and having no control of imps makes other mechanics like the prison extremely unreliable to interact with. That makes losing creatures all the more snowbally with how many waves there are, especially when casting Heal isn't much of an option because of the gold situation.
Personally, I think the map would've been more fun if either imps could be interacted with, or treasuries could be placed. I think one or the other would already make a big difference while keeping the player more constrained.
Other than that, I did like the lower initial creature limit that forces you to be more attentive to what you do get. And there is a good amount to find by exploring, while the constant fighting definitely keeps you busy. The decoration system is an interesting idea to keep the map looking less empty when it's been explored.
Also an impressive amount of scripting, from a quick glance at the scripts you put a lot of work into that. Nice to see more people experimenting with what Lua can do.

On Medium its a good difficulty. I didnt needed the scavenger room.

You're right, wasn't intentional. its fixed — thanks!
