What a weird map. The beginning is kind of frustrating as most creatures you can attract are being scavenged as soon as they enter your portal. An early temple solves the issue, kind of. You start with an Avatar. So I tried to rush blue and take his gems, since I figured maybe he's the one scavenging. Big mistake. Killing blue triggered a huge wave of vampires of different levels right on top of my dungeon heart. And also in yellow's dungeon, who was already dead as he died at the start of the level.

So I turtled, trained my dragons and mistresses (the later being the only creature I had who wasn't being scavenged save the Avatar of course) and was barely ready for what came. Blue dug too close to the central white dungeon and died on his own, which triggered the vampire wave.

So I ended up with 30 vampires. Completly useless as white had barely anything alive at this point since, being a keeper with no gold or treasure room to pay his minions, his dungeon was in ruins and his creatures killed each others. What an anticlimatic ending.

You get mostly Heroes and start with an Avatar(!). There's a lot of safe gold and gems around, and in my playthrough Yellow died to White. Blue was kind of a pushover.

The start is interesting in that a lot of my creatures were being scavenged, making an early Temple a must. Had to figure out which creature types are safe to keep and train. Without Sight, I couldn't simply check the enemy Scavenger Room. You don't have a Library early on, either. And there is no Workshop.

The difficulty is weird. There is an absurd final spawn of several dozen Vampires directly on your Dungeon Heart. Most of the map is easy, but save and grind levels before destroying Blue's heart or you'll die instantly. (Or don't bother because it's kind of bullshit.)

PLAYER_GOOD is set up as a computer player and will pick up creatures and cast spells. I dunno why starting gold is 17711

It turns out how White behaves (including the early game scavenging) is due to me playing the most recent KFX alpha and not intended by the author... and the vampire spawn would also have been a little less harsh (but still not fair)

Fixing these issues will make this a more standard map but it'll stay quite boring, probably more boring than before

Actually, in the original game you could have a partial computer player. KeeperFX for the longest time could not and the author complained about this. This map was made for the original game.

So if anything, the map played out more like intended through the use of the latest alpha.

I see, well that's good then!
