Description

Third level from the default DK1 campaign, completely remade into something new. Default build and explore DK gameplay, but with some tough hero parties. I made this map years ago so the script is really old, don't look at it, it's ugly and out of date but it gets the job done.

It's designed to be played open, as in, you aggressively explore the map and don't block any tunnel parties, but if you're a slower player that doesn't like the pressure, it is possible to reduce the difficulty by walling yourself in with the gems on the western side, or to separate the map into 'sections'. Aggressive exploration is rewarded, however.

This is a very enjoyable map with a good and engaging story. The map feels very much alive through various decorative items used. There is so much to explore and so much to see and I found it very easy to miss things due to those constant waves of heros spawning which was drawing my attention. Still, constant exploration despite defending against the previously mentioned heroes was very rewarding.

I did not find this map to be very easy but manageable. I had a decent challenge but wasn't stressed throughout the game play. This map isn't all too long either, so it is refreshing to have a good and quick challenge.

I would be very happy to be able to play more maps of yours in future. I really liked this one. Well done.

Removed the four specials near the dungeon heart. Part of the reason this map didn't get released initially was I needed to wait for a KFX bugfix to come through, and those four specials were just to check everything was working as intended.
