I just tried the first map, and I have no idea how you're supposed to win that. Blue starts with a fully built dungeon and is right next to you, making an early fight unavoidable. I barely managed to cripple him with heavy possession fightning, despite being flooded with flies from the portal and him having access to far better creatures from the get-go.
And then, while I had lvl 3-4 dragons, a hero party of lvl 8 giants, fairies and what not came from the other side before I could even destroy Blue's heart and slaughtered me. A bit later, the same thing except with samurais added to the mix.
Second map started fine, until I dug the gold to the west leading to the water. I was immediately attacked by a lvl8 party of samurais and wizards. Had to reload. That's a bit unfair.
So I turtled a bit, dug to the other gold parts of the map and soon enough, two strong lvl 8 parties spawned and started digging to my dungeon. By that time, I had 6-7 lvl 6 Bile Demons and two Mistresses lvl 5. No way to defend against that, especially since these parties opened the way to the previous party as well. So, fortify time and a slow turtle to train/live on workshop economy for a while until I can let them come in my dungeon with a bridge/guard post combo. I chose to smash them with boulders instead, quicker and less tedious.
More playable than the first map, but still unfair in my opinion.
Just finished pack. It is rather easier one, I wish there was more going on maps as I spend a lot of time just leveling my army. I honestly hated not having Speed speell. I am not sure what was reason for that decision. Also I think there were also too many traps in hero dungeons.
The first map was very promising and after 2 tries, I actually liked the concept, however, the remaining maps I didn't find exciting at all. This was mostly due to the fact that it boiled down to a showdown between me and the enemy keeper and basically the amount of mistresses were the deciding factor in those battles. Otherwise there were too many unnecessary traps that only slowed down progress, as well as a very annoying scavanger room that forced me to stop training for the corresponding creatures - ugh*
I'm sorry you felt that way. The others have enjoyed the whole map pack so I am not going to change anything. (At least not yet till another major KFX update drops).
